ARTWORK STATEMENT: This piece is the culmination of 6 months of artistic growth. It is a journey of self-awareness and discovery tied together with input and ideas from friends and family. These one hundred forty-four 3x3 are scattered around a larger canvas, like the friends and family we have spread across the world. Like a group of people coming together towards a common goal, these pieces do so to reveal the “King of all Beasts”. The variety and range of methods in each painting showcase old methods with new techniques and ideas I learned along the way. A journey involves many small steps, and the bigger picture is hard to see during each trial. When all is said and done you can take a moment to see all you have accomplished and what you have become.
