Russ Bryant is a freelance photographer who shoots images for a variety of commercial, corporate and editorial clients. Most notably, Russ is a contributor for the New York Times, the Associated Press and post-secondary education clients. His assignments have taken him throughout the United States and to the Azores, Morocco, Turkey, Croatia, Montenegro, Portugal, Grenada, Kuwait, Iraq, Bosnia, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Germany, Ireland, Greece, Italy, Spain, New Zealand and Brazil. He was a staff photographer for The University of Virginia, Semester at Sea program Summer 2012 voyage.
Russ earned his BFA in photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 1995 and attended the Eddie Adams Workshop in New York in 1997. He was a staff newspaper photographer for five years at The Georgia Guardian. Russ has completed several books for his publisher Motor Books of Minnesota. From 1985 to 1989, Russ served his country as an U.S. Army Ranger at the 1st Ranger Battalion, Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA. Presently, he resides in Richmond Hill, Georgia. He enjoys sailing, golfing, listening to music and fixing this sailboat.
