Description: Painting doesn’t have to be complicated. Join instructor Darcy Melton in this workshop focusing on the essentials of still-life painting, using a limited five-color palette. From block-in to shading and highlights, we will move step-by-step through the process of creating an impactful still-life. Beginning with setting up our palettes, followed by an introductory demo, we will then start our own paintings. Group demos will be given at every step as well as hands-on individual attention throughout.
Artists may need:

• Surface (either 5x7, 6x8, 5x5, 6x6 or 8x8 in) (wood panel, gessoed panel, canvas panel, or canvas)

• Paint brushes (I recommend a few small rounds and a small flat)
