About our speaker: Kate Dodson Strain practices trademark, copyright, franchise, and business law at Strain Law. She counsels clients on the best strategies to strengthen and protect their valuable intellectual property such as trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.

She also files copyright applications with the U.S. Copyright Office and has represented copyright owners in state and federal courts. Her extensive experience in drafting agreements provides much needed protection for her clients’ intellectual property. Kate can draft a simple or complex licensing agreement or draft the documents establishing a franchise system in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission rules.
