Coordinated by the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber, the Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival Committee, our local McDonald’s, and Modern Midways, Special Needs Day kicks off the Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival weekend. Special Needs Day is a private event that takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Special Needs students and their immediate family members to enjoy the afternoon with slowed-down carnival rides, lower music volumes, shorter lines, and lunch prior to the festival opening to the public at 5 p.m. that evening. Registration for the event is required no later than October 8 by noon.
