Celebrate deFINE ART group exhibition "News from Nowhere"

  • Gutstein Gallery 201 East Broughton Street Savannah, GA, 31401 United States (map)

Join curators and exhibiting artists for a reception celebrating "News from Nowhere," a group exhibition exploring fictitious, simulated or imaginary places. Composed of works of photography, painting, installation, sculpture and game design, "News from Nowhere" presents both utopic and dystopic visions through imagined spaces and considers our relation to falsehoods. The exhibition features work by SCAD faculty, alumni and several artists without SCAD affiliation.

Artists included:

Giordano Angeletti (M.F.A., photography, 2015)
Pippin Barr
Amelia Carley
Petros Chrisostomou
Maggie Evans (SCAD professor of foundation studies; SCAD M.F.A., painting, 2008)
Susan Hopp (SCAD associate chair of foundation studies)
Ron Longsdorf (SCAD professor of foundation studies)

Gallery hours: Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This reception and exhibition are free and open to the public and are part of SCAD deFINE ART 2019, held Feb. 26–28 at university locations in Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia.
